I did it wrong :)

In this wonderful frustrating world of Internet Marketing it is so easy to get sidetracked. It is so easy to jump from path-to-path-to-path. Part of the problem is that we have come to expect almost instant gratification from our efforts. Click a button and almost immediately you get a return ( a light comes on or a Web site pops up). Order food at a fast food business and almost by the time you get to the delivery window it is ready for you. You know what I mean. However, the results of your efforts in the Internet Marketing world do not come that quickly when you are just starting out.

Take my case for example. Here I am creating this Web site. I wrote the articles you see listed and submitted them to an article directory. I did this before I had created this site. I am proud of these articles so I copy them onto this site once I set it up. Well, I have learned that this action might have been a “no” “no”. The search engines do not like duplicate information. According to what I just learned you need to write articles for the article directories and then you need to write articles just for your site. You do this if you want to attract traffic and maybe earn a dollar or two.

Well, I do not plan to take the articles off the site. I think they are still good and if for no other reason they act as a guide for me. I think however, that I have seen an example of what this site is all about. Knowledge is power but applied knowledge is wisdom. I will be certain not to repeat my mistake.

I just want to remphasize the problem of instant gratification. Becasue we want something now we are enticed to follow the promise of “Make thousands in 30 days.”  And why shouldn’t we? The testimonials say it has happened and we are just as smart and just as committed as those people being quoted.

The bottom line is patience. We might in a very rare moment have the epiphony of immediate satisfaction when we choose a path. This is not say that a path (program) is not good or that it does not contain information that will help us make dollars at some time in our future. In fact, if we can only stick to one path long enough there just might be a pot of gold :)

I hope this little insight has proved beneficial. I believe that you and I will do more things right than wrong. That is the reason for the smile. May your journey in this frustrating wonderful world be a good and prosperous one.
